Aparat Real-Time PCR qTOWER znajduje się w laboratorium 333A Katedry Biochemii Ogólnej i Medycznej, Wydziału Biologii Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Aparat jest urządzeniem współdzielonym. Każde użycie qTOWER musi być wcześniej zarejestrowane w kalendarzu rezerwacji – również wtedy, gdy aparat jest w danym momencie wolny.
Kalendarz rezerwacji: Kalendarz rezerwacji qPCR KBOiM
Kalendarz umożliwia sprawdzenie aktualnego obłożenia aparatu oraz dostępnych terminów. Użytkownicy posiadający konto w domenie ug.edu.pl mogą otworzyć kalendarz i przeglądać rezerwacje. Sam dostęp do podglądu kalendarza nie umożliwia jeszcze dokonywania rezerwacji.
Nie widzisz kalendarza?
Ze względu na sposób organizacji kont Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego w środowisku Microsoft 365 osoby korzystające z kont w innych domenach niż ug.edu.pl – dotyczy to m.in. części kont studenckich i doktoranckich – mogą nie uzyskać automatycznego dostępu do kalendarza.
Jeżeli po otwarciu linku nie masz dostępu do kalendarza, wybierz wyświetlaną przez Microsoft opcję „Request access”. Następnie wyślij wiadomość na adres karolina.stojowska-swedrzynska@ug.edu.pl, podając:
- imię i nazwisko,
- nazwę Katedry,
- imię i nazwisko opiekuna/promotora.
Wiadomość e-mail jest konieczna, ponieważ zgłoszenia „Request access” nie są sprawdzane na bieżąco.

Przed pierwszym użyciem aparatu oraz przed uzyskaniem możliwości dokonywania rezerwacji należy zapoznać się z Regulaminem korzystania z aparatu Real-Time PCR qTOWER i zaakceptować jego zasady.

Regulamin zawiera zasady dotyczące m.in. osób uprawnionych do korzystania z urządzenia, rezerwacji, pracy z aparatem, odbioru płytek, zapisywania danych oraz postępowania po zakończeniu eksperymentu. Użytkownik pracujący samodzielnie powinien również posiadać umiejętność prawidłowej obsługi aparatu i oprogramowania; osoba, która nie została wcześniej przeszkolona, powinna przed pierwszą samodzielną pracą odbyć szkolenie.
Aby uzyskać uprawnienia do dokonywania rezerwacji, wyślij wiadomość na adres:

W wiadomości podaj adres e-mail, którego będziesz używać do logowania do kalendarza, oraz potwierdź zapoznanie się z regulaminem, np.:
Potwierdzam, że zapoznałam/em się z Regulaminem korzystania z aparatu Real-Time PCR qTOWER i akceptuję jego zasady.
Dostęp umożliwiający dokonywanie rezerwacji zostanie nadany po otrzymaniu potwierdzenia akceptacji regulaminu. Jeżeli wiadomość z prośbą o dostęp nie będzie zawierała takiego potwierdzenia, opiekun aparatu poprosi o jego przesłanie przed nadaniem uprawnień.
Uprawnienia do rezerwacji są nadawane na stałe – przy kolejnych rezerwacjach nie ma potrzeby ponownego kontaktowania się z opiekunem aparatu.
Jak zarezerwować aparat?
Po uzyskaniu uprawnień:
- Otwórz kalendarz i sprawdź, czy wybrany termin jest wolny. System technicznie pozwala na utworzenie nakładających się rezerwacji, dlatego należy samodzielnie upewnić się, że wybrany czas nie koliduje z innym wpisem.
- Kliknij wybrany termin i ustaw dokładną datę oraz godzinę rozpoczęcia (Start) i zakończenia (End) pracy.
- Zapisz rezerwację. Twoje nazwisko zostanie przypisane do niej automatycznie.
- Jeżeli nie będziesz korzystać z aparatu, usuń rezerwację możliwie szybko, aby zwolnić termin dla innych użytkowników. Użytkownicy mogą zmieniać i usuwać wyłącznie własne rezerwacje.

Ważne przed rozpoczęciem pracy
Rezerwuj czas odpowiadający rzeczywistemu czasowi korzystania z aparatu, uwzględniając niewielki zapas potrzebny na zakończenie programu, zapisanie danych i odebranie płytki. Nie blokuj aparatu przez nadmiernie długi czas „na wszelki wypadek”.
Jeżeli planujesz pozostawić płytkę w aparacie po zakończeniu programu, zapoznaj się szczególnie z odpowiednim punktem Regulaminu. W przypadku konieczności dłuższego pozostawienia płytki program powinien kończyć się etapem utrzymującym temperaturę 10°C; regulamin opisuje również zasady odbioru płytki i zabezpieczenia danych.

qPCR – Reservations
The Real-Time PCR qTOWER instrument is located in laboratory 333A of the Department of General and Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Biology, University of Gdańsk. The qTOWER is a shared instrument. Every use of the instrument must be registered in the reservation calendar in advance, even if the instrument is currently available.
Reservation Calendar: Kalendarz rezerwacji qPCR KBOiM
The calendar allows users to check current instrument occupancy and available time slots. Users with an account in the ug.edu.pl domain can open the calendar and view existing reservations. View access alone does not allow users to make reservations.
Cannot access the calendar?
Due to the organization of University of Gdańsk accounts within the Microsoft 365 environment, users with accounts in domains other than ug.edu.pl – including some student and doctoral student accounts – may not automatically be granted access to the calendar.
If you cannot access the calendar after opening the link, select the “Request access” option displayed by Microsoft. Then send an e-mail to karolina.stojowska-swedrzynska@ug.edu.pl providing:
- your full name,
- the name of your Department,
- the full name of your supervisor.
Sending an e-mail is necessary because “Request access” notifications are not checked on a regular basis.
Would you like to use the instrument and make reservations?
Before using the instrument for the first time and before obtaining permission to make reservations, you must read the Regulations for the Use of the Real-Time PCR qTOWER Instrument and accept the rules described therein.
[REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE qTOWER INSTRUMENT – PDF]
The Regulations describe, among other things, who is authorized to use the instrument, the reservation procedure, rules for operating the instrument, plate collection, data storage, and procedures to be followed after completing an experiment. Users working independently must also be able to operate the instrument and its software correctly. Anyone who has not previously received training in the use of the qTOWER should be trained before using the instrument independently for the first time.

In your message, provide the e-mail address that you will use to access the calendar and confirm that you have read and accepted the Regulations, for example:
I confirm that I have read the Regulations for the Use of the Real-Time PCR qTOWER Instrument and accept the rules described therein.
Access allowing you to make reservations will be granted after confirmation that you have read and accepted the Regulations. If your request does not include such confirmation, the instrument supervisor will ask you to provide it before reservation privileges are granted.
Reservation privileges are granted on a permanent basis, so there is no need to contact the instrument supervisor again before making subsequent reservations.
How to reserve the instrument
Once reservation privileges have been granted:
- Open the calendar and check whether your preferred time slot is available. The system technically allows overlapping reservations, so you are responsible for ensuring that your reservation does not conflict with an existing entry.
- Click the desired time slot and enter the exact date and time at which you intend to start (Start) and finish (End) using the instrument.
- Save the reservation. Your name will be assigned to the reservation automatically.
- If you no longer intend to use the instrument at the reserved time, delete your reservation as soon as possible so that the time slot becomes available to other users. Users can modify and delete only their own reservations.

Important information before using the instrument
Reserve only the amount of time reasonably required to use the instrument, allowing a small additional margin for the program to finish, saving the experimental data and collecting the plate. Please do not block the instrument for unnecessarily long periods “just in case”.
If you plan to leave a plate in the instrument after the program has finished, please pay particular attention to the relevant section of the Regulations. If the plate must remain in the instrument for an extended period, the PCR program should end with an additional step maintaining the temperature at 10°C. The Regulations also describe the procedures for plate collection and securing experimental data.
